If so, Wilhelmsen Global Business Services (GBS) is now looking for a Business Analyst 

The Business Analyst will play a key role in the development of GBS through profitability analysis, investment analysis and targeting/forecasting. Global Business Services and works actively with and towards all members of GBS Management team, with particular focus on GBS Finance. The Business Analyst will report to Vice President - Business Control & QHSSE  

 

What you will work on:   

  • Analysing and verifying financial data to identify trends, irregularities, outlining opportunities for optimization 

  • Generating clear, concise, and actionable reports on cost performance, trends, and recommendations 

  • Presenting findings to senior management and relevant stakeholders to guide decision-making 

  • Working closely with cost owners to understand cost structures, identify inefficiencies, and address inconsistencies 

  • Providing constructive challenge to cost owners on spending, supporting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement 

  • Proposing actionable cost-saving initiatives based on thorough analysis 

  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in cost modelling, pricing strategies, and shared services management. 

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand end to end Finance processes and dependencies within GBS Finance and other GBS teams 

  • Work on continues process improvement within owned and GBS Finance deliverables 

  • Ad-hoc analysis/business case and business development initiatives 

 

What we are looking for: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus 

  • Proven experience (3+ years) in financial analysis, cost modelling, or business analysis, preferably within shared services or similar environments. 

  • Analytical nature, ability to interpret complex data, identify anomalies, and generate actionable insights. 

  • Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and challenge stakeholders constructively. 

  • Critical-thinking skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues. 

  • Proficiency in financial modelling and analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, or similar). 

  • Fluent in English, written and spoken
