POSITION OVERVIEW

The Business Analyst (BA) works within the Global IT Solutions team, assisting in the delivery of IT solutions that address business needs, including ERP implementations, and support for Hyva’s global operations. This role involves collaborating with various departments to understand internal processes, operations, and requirements, with a focus on business processes. The BA helps ensure that project deliverables align with Hyva’s strategic goals and supports the IT organization in post-implementation maintenance and ongoing user support.


MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Requirements Analysis and Solution Design:. Support the translation of business requirements into functional IT solutions within ERP and other applications.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Assist as a contact point for global business process owners, facilitating communication to improve processes and satisfaction with IT services.
  • Project Lifecycle Participation: Participate in all phases of the project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, solution documentation, UAT, data migration, and go-live support under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Help prepare and maintain project documentation for end-users and support teams, and contribute to reporting on project progress.
  • Solution Validation and Quality Assurance: Work alongside senior business analysts to validate solutions, conduct basic quality assurance tests, and ensure enhancements meet organizational requirements.
  • Post-Implementation Support: Provide first-level support to business units, helping resolve operational issues and ensuring solutions function seamlessly. Gather feedback and assist in user training.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in root cause analysis and suggest improvements in processes to boost efficiency and productivity in IT services.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with internal SMEs and vendors, gaining experience in managing vendor interactions and coordinating with other IT subdepartments. The role is also required to ensure detailed documentation for support colleagues and end users, and manage training and knowledge transfer sessions to internal teams.
  • Project Coordination and Reporting: Participate in project activities, assist in the development of IT project plans, report progress to management, and communicate with all relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment and timely completion.
  • Change Management: Participate in change management processes by documenting, explaining, and reviewing requested changes. Support change initiatives and related activities.
  • Vendor and SME Collaboration: Work closely with internal subject matter experts and vendors to validate solutions, coordinate on enhancements, and ensure all requirements are met. Facilitate open communication to manage vendor-related issues and enhancement requests effectively.

 

SKILLS 

  • ERP Knowledge: Good understanding of ERP systems with at least 1-2 cycles of ERP implementation., Familiarity in systems such as Infor LN, Microsoft Dynamics, or SAP being advantageous.
  • Analytical Abilities: Good problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and assess business processes.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communicator with strong written and verbal skills; able to interact with colleagues across different levels. This position is also required to work closely and support the seniors within the team
  • Detail-Oriented: Highly organized, with a commitment to quality and accuracy in documentation and deliverables.
  • Team Player: Collaborative and capable of building positive relationships with team members and stakeholders.
  • Adaptability: Culturally sensitive and adaptable to work with diverse teams, open to learning and taking direction.
  • Proactive Attitude: Demonstrates a willingness to take initiative in tasks and manage project changes with guidance.

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Educational Level: Degree in Finance, Accounting, IT, or related fields.
  • Professional Experience:
    • 1-3 years of experience in an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation role, preferably with consulting experience and exposure to ERP implementations.
    • Relevant exposure to ERP processes such as Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), Fixed Assets (FA), Warehouse, Procure to Pay, Quote to Cash, Plan to Produce, etc.
  • Availability: Willingness to attend to urgent issues outside of official working hours and ability to travel as required.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in English, with additional language skills in Mandarin considered an asset.
