The Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing, supporting and managing our 3rd party IT applications landscape across the organization. This role works closely with Service Delivery and GSS teams to understand and document new and existing applications requirements and usage and assist in analyzing and consolidating the applications stack to achieve efficiencies across the teams and optimizations for the firm. This role acts as primary liaison with vendors for any support tickets as needed. This role is responsible to ensure 3rd party IT applications are supported, up to date on releases and actively collaborate with customers, internal IT and vendor teams to evaluate and document any gaps and drive towards resolution. This role also has project management skills to manage and coordinate project tasks related to applications support.

- Establish relationships with solution stakeholders including external clients, internal clients (Ryan practice areas), and industry subject matter experts.
Client:
- Interview stakeholders to understand application usage and support needed.
- Prepare business requirements based on stakeholder interviews to address application gaps, future-state processes and improvement opportunities; prioritize requirements and discuss with SMEs and vendor teams as needed.
- Responds to client inquiries in a timely manner.
Values:
- Analyze existing applications and business and system processes and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Identify and document gaps between application functionality and business processes where enhanced functionality could remedy those gaps.
- Evaluate new application releases to confirm business requirements have been met; communicate release information to stakeholders, where applicable.
- Partner and coordinate with vendor support for application related support.
- Ensure application is supported and up to date on releases, partner with customer, internal IT and vendor teams to evaluate and document any gaps and drive towards resolution.
- Works with stakeholders to create the project scope and detailed business requirements; ensures stakeholders are included in the development, review, and approval process.
- Maintains effective and efficient communication with all stakeholders for developing and publishing periodic project planning documents and status reports to appropriate constituents, modifying schedules, or plans as needed.
- Works closely with applicable departments to ensure successful planning and execution of projects.
- Performs alpha and smoke testing on all applications to ensure they meet the requirements of the customer as well as the standards of the organization.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field with at least 2 to 4 years prior progressive business analysis experience in a multistate or international firm environment. Extensive experience modeling business processes and producing process documentation in a software consulting or information technology role. Experience in managing and supporting applications – on-prem and cloud applications.
Skills:
- Possess excellent written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and consultative skills, and the ability to lead and facilitate business process discussions.
- Demonstrate experience acquiring familiarity with complex technologies relatively quickly.
- Be detail-oriented and capable of producing deliverables with a high level of accuracy.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycles is preferred (SDLC, Agile, etc.).
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have advanced skills, in Microsoft® Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet navigation and research. Experience with documentation software (eg – MapCap Flare, Confluence, Visio, etc) is a plus.
Certificates and Licenses:
- Valid driver's license required.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment:
- Standard indoor working environment.
- Occasional long periods of sitting while working at computer.
- Position requires regular interaction with employees and clients both in person and via e-mail and telephone.
- Independent travel requirement: less than 25%.
