The Business Analyst is responsible for facilitating and eliciting business requirements, leading feature & process improvements, creating appropriate documentation and ensuring that these requirements are translated into the delivery of effective business solutions.
As a Business Analyst, the goal of your role is to make sure we deliver high quality, differentiated, software in a fast and predictable way. The role engages with customers, partners, and all internal teams within Cin7 to develop and execute on product strategies.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Utilize AI for data-driven decision-making, using AI to optimize business processes, and improving customer experiences. Analyzing AI-generated insights to guide business strategies, collaborating with teams to implement AI solutions, and ensuring that AI applications align with business goals.
- Facilitates and documents business requirements for new features, improvements to processes and existing features.
- Business process mapping and improvement activities. Advocates simplification of processes with customers and partners to ensure that application configuration, development or upgrades do not perpetuate poor business practice.
- Prepares and participates in the development of concepts, requirements, and proposed solutions.
- Collaboration with internal teams to discuss business requirements and prepare solution options.
- Consults and works closely with internal teams to ensure all requirements have been accurately addressed, and support the teams during the design and development activities.
- Develops, documents & maintains process & data models for the purpose of supporting the development of business requirements
- Work with customers and partners to aggregate business requirements into use cases and functional specifications.
- Participates in the development of test plans and supports testing related to both QA and end user testing activities.
- Prioritize workload to ensure work of the greatest importance to the business is undertaken with urgency and to a high standard.
- Undertake all duties and responsibilities outlined in this Job Description and all other duties as required by the business.
- Track all defined deliverables from conception through launch, leveraging (and improving) established processes, tools, and communication methods.
- Actively drive and present product demos to internal teams, customers, partners and external stakeholders.
Competencies & role/education requirements
- 3+ years experience in a business analyst role preferred.
- Technical knowledge of APIs and tech stack.
- Ability to develop flow diagrams for data and process models.
- Ability to quickly understand customer business requirements, issues and challenges.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- You naturally possess a high level of compassion and pay close attention to the needs of customers and partners.
- Can work cross-functionally to find solutions with our internal teams.
- A self-motivated, dedicated teammate with innovative ideas to inspire customer adoption and bias for action.
