The Business Account Manager is focused on three core areas of the sales process. Prospecting, Account Management, and Closing business. Day to day, the Business Account Manager spends 60% of their time establishing and cultivating relationships with current Conga customers and establishing new relationships with new logo customers. This is done via prospecting into and designing solutions for large named accounts. 40% of the Business Account Managers time is spent closing deals in these accounts. Business Account Managers are tasked with closing 70%+ of the transactions done here at Conga.

This role is one of the best possible initial closing roles for aspiring sales professionals. This role is foundational to our strategy as a company. Business Account Managers are uniquely equipped with very strong sales, account management and prospecting skills that will serve them for life. Skills that make them extremely valuable to Conga. This role is true Enterprise Account Management, Pipeline Development, and Closing with a high degree of exposure to Field Sales, Sales Engineering and Customer Success. Strong Prospecting Experience. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of exceeding sales and prospecting quotas and loves the thrill of the hunt. Sales Development and Corporate Sales Experience in Software is an advantage.  

 

Capable of navigating through and building relationships within organizations. This consists of doing deep discovery, speaking to multiple decision makers, building meaningful business relationships, building and growing pipeline, providing value to customers, and helping the customer to identify and prioritize their projects.  

 

Closing deals. A large part of this role is closing deals. Though closing experience is not required, we need candidates with strong organizational and follow-up skills. The ability to think ahead and work with a team to develop and execute the right selling strategy. A high technical aptitude for software sales. A transparent, collaborative attitude and a bias for action is key. A competitive, friendly, humble, numbers-driven personality will thrive here.
