Position Summary

This position is for the Brand Manager for Robert Mondavi Private Selection (RMPS). Together with the Marketing Director, the position has a broad range of responsibilities including portfolio and brand strategy and plan development, business budgeting and financial analysis, cross-functional team leadership and innovation strategy and development. The Brand Manager has a range of brand responsibilities including:

  • Develop and execute marketing programs and lead business analysis and project management

  • Develop an overall marketing strategy to differentiate the brands, strengthen consumer awareness and overall engagement

  • Be an active leader within the marketing team and collaborate with cross-functional groups across the organization

  • Effectively represent brands with our internal sales team, distributor network, retail trade and consumers

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for development and execution of strategic and annual marketing plans which address all aspects of the marketing mix including but not limited to pricing, packaging, public relations, digital/social advertising, consumer event activations, market research and more

  • Shared responsibility for the delivery of volume, share and profit objectives consistent with overall brand strategy

  • Manage and develop an Associate Brand Manager

  • Work with sales leadership, key on and off premise strategic accounts, internal field marketing, and distributor personnel, to develop retail marketing programs and identify opportunities to grow the business in existing channels of trade

  • Perform on-going business and competitive analyses and provide findings and recommendations for corrective action where appropriate to Senior Management

  • Manage brand projects, overall budget allocation, prepare and present branded presentations to both internal and external audiences

  • Manage multi-year brand S&OP forecast with Operations team, including at-risk inventory review

  • Visit key markets in support of market blitzes, new product launches, surveys, etc. and report brand and competitive findings as well as any market driven recommendations to Senior Management

  • Lead development and execution of innovation pipeline

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree, including 5+ years of experience in a Brand/Marketing Management position in a consumer products company

  • Proven success at building strong cross-functional relationships, as well as coaching and developing direct reports

  • Experience developing trade/promo strategies & materials including development of program ideas, collaboration with sales & field marketing teams, creative agency management and performance reporting

  • Proven desire and ability to think creatively, coupled with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Experience in identifying key consumer insights and developing brand strategies

  • Syndicated database experience (IRI or Nielsen)

  • Excellent communications skill including strong public speaking and writing skills in addition to strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence others

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, ability to prioritize, and solid financial acumen

  • Strong PC skills (Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint);

  • Successful candidate will be a very motivated self-starter and be able to work without daily guidance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree

  • Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) experience

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

  • Must be at least 21 years of age

  • Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time and work on a computer for extended periods. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions

  • Must be flexible in work style and schedule: travel up to 20%, as required

The salary range for this role is:

$128,700.00 - $201,300.00

This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, the prevailing minimum wage for the location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees.
