About the Role:

The Brand Designer is a cornerstone of 8x8's global branding efforts, playing a critical role in shaping and evolving the company’s visual identity. As a creative leader, you will drive the development of innovative, high-quality visual assets that align with the brand strategy and amplify its impact across all channels. Key Responsibilities:

Drive Brand Visual Strategy:

  • Align visuals with strategy: Partner with the Senior Brand Manager to ensure all visual elements reflect the brand vision, positioning, and messaging.

  • Evolve brand identity: Innovate and refine the visual identity to stay fresh, relevant, and impactful across all touchpoints.

Provide Creative Leadership:

  • Design leadership: Lead the creation of visual assets for digital, print, social, and other marketing materials, ensuring brand consistency.

  • Concept development: Generate compelling design solutions that enhance brand presence and elevate customer experiences.

  • Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior designers, freelancers, and external agencies to uphold design excellence.

Develop Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate across teams: Work closely with marketing, product, communications, and other teams to understand visual needs and translate them into innovative solutions.

  • Feedback integration: Present visual concepts to stakeholders, incorporating feedback to refine and enhance deliverables.

Oversee Asset Management:

  • Organize and deliver: Manage the creation, organization, and delivery of high-quality visual assets, including graphics, photos, videos, and templates.

  • Ensure compliance: Maintain adherence to brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all materials and platforms.

Stay Ahead of Trends:

  • Monitor trends: Keep current with design trends, tools, and technologies to push creative boundaries and keep the brand fresh.

  • Experiment and innovate: Propose new approaches and techniques to differentiate the brand visually in competitive markets.

Execute Project Management Excellence:

  • Plan and prioritize: Manage multiple design projects from concept to execution, ensuring timely delivery within budget.

  • Resource allocation: Collaborate with the Brand Operations Specialist to allocate resources effectively for design initiatives.

Qualifications:

Experience and Expertise:

  • Design experience: 5+ years in visual design, with a strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of work in both digital and print.

  • Branding skills: Proven ability to translate brand values into impactful, creative visuals.

  • Tool proficiency: Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), with familiarity in design tools like Figma, Sketch, or Canva.

Technical Knowledge:

  • Motion design: Experience in motion graphics, animation, and video production is highly desirable.

  • UI/UX design: Familiarity with UI/UX principles and digital platform design is a plus.

  • Web design: Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS or web design fundamentals is advantageous.

Soft Skills:

  • Detail-oriented: A sharp eye for typography, color theory, and layout consistency.

  • Problem solver: Passion for creative problem-solving and delivering impactful designs under tight deadlines.

  • Strong communicator: Ability to effectively present and articulate design concepts to stakeholders.

Key Goals for Success:

  • Develop and maintain a scalable visual identity system that adapts to evolving business needs.

  • Elevate the brand’s presence across digital, social, and print channels through innovative, on-brand visuals.

The compensation range reflects the Company’s good faith belief at the time of posting. 8x8 has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. The range above reflects the potential base pay across the U.S. for this role; the applicable base pay range will depend on what ultimately is determined to be the candidate’s primary work location. Further, individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience, knowledge, success, education and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including discretionary merit increases, bonus and/or stock. Certain roles have the opportunity to earn sales variable compensation incentives based on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.

Salary Ranges:

$86,250.00 - $159,375.00
