BOUTIQUE OPERATIONS MANAGER
Reporting directly to the boutique director, the operations manager contributes to the piloting of the performance of the boutique, ensures the smooth-running of daily operations and implements projects to enhance the operational efficiency and the financial health of the boutique and ultimately elevate the client experience.

As part of boutique management committee, you work closely with your pears to define and execute the boutique strategy in line with the brand priorities.
Your role is based on several axes:
Ensuring the financial health of the boutique
- Monitoring retail indicators such as turnover, sell-through, boutique traffic and proposing corrective actions where required
- Contributing to the setting and piloting of sales targets for the boutique and the Fashion advisors
- Reporting on stock and collection performances to optimize buying decisions and sales performance with a specific focus on ensuring product availability, out-of-stock or over-stock situations and proposing corrective actions
- Anticipating business evolutions and supporting boutique management in building strategic action plans to address them
Enhancing daily operations and taking responsibility for cash, stock, care&repair and alteration activities
- Supervising the management, organization and optimization of these activities within the boutique
- Creating the conditions and providing the adequate support, including some field operational support (performing inventories, handling the till, etc.) so that all targets are met in all of these activities
- Orchestrating the roll-out and follow-up of strategic retail projects such as RFID, new tools etc.
- Ensuring all cash, inventory and security procedures are followed and comply with regulations
- Taking a leadership role of expertise over all processes and procedures and supporting the team in the adoption of new procedures
- Playing a key role in the orchestration of Chanel&Moi program in collaboration with marketing manager
Motivating the back-office teams (cash, stock, care&repair and alteration) to create the conditions that promote an expectation-exceeding client journey
- Managing the back-office team (cash, stock, care&repair and alteration) in terms of recruitment, leadership, and setting and monitoring individual goals of team, identifying areas of development and formulating action and training plans to enhance skills and performance
- Support the development of the VM team with the help of the country VM coordinator
- Conveying the House Strategy to boutique teams, ensuring objectives are understood and executed effectively
- Enthusing the team with positive leadership and encouraging collaboration and knowledge sharing with complementary functions in the boutique
- Supporting and encouraging Chanel Vital Behaviours across the team
Ensuring a positive working environment and reaching the highest retail standards
- Overseeing all maintenance, IT, security, administrative functions for the boutique, both internally and externally
- Ensuring the boutique reflects CHANEL’s standards of luxury to support the client experience on the floor, and that the back-office offers an efficient and nurturing environment for staff
- Provisioning the boutique with required supplies and orchestrating boutique tools order (uniforms, packaging, others) and its implementation (guideline, timing).

WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- Master Degree
- Significant experience in retail operations (5 years) and team management (3 years)
- Analytical mindset, data interpretation expertise, precision
- Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (client centric and empathic), and strong team spirit
- Optimistic and positive approach to solving issues with hand-on retail orientation and agility
- Efficient time & priorities management
- Ability to engage, motivate and develop teams
- Fluency in English
