We are looking for a Senior Staff BMS Control Software Integration Engineer to join our team. The goal of a Senior Staff BMS Control Software Integration Engineer at Wisk is responsible for BMS specific control and software integration with the system. You will be part of the ESPS Energy Storage & Power System team that play a key role in the design, development, integration, testing, and maintaining advanced high voltage energy storage and power conversion control software solution.

Due to the nature of the work required for this position, this is an onsite opportunity. You will be required to work from our Mountain View office.

What you will do:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and refine battery system requirements, operational constraints, and estimation and control algorithms
• Work closely with different stakeholders to understand battery operating conditions, limitations, and BMS requirements for control and estimation
• Collaborate multiple teams to integrate and optimize design, implement control algorithms for Battery Management Systems, including battery state estimation (SOC, SOH & SOP), CAN communication, and controller management
• Lead BMS and HV system integration, Perform real-time testing and calibration of control systems in both simulation and hardware environments
• Develop software tools/test scripts for software/hardware integration and test data analysis
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate BMS and high-voltage systems into vehicle platforms
• Troubleshoot high-voltage battery systems including battery, DC/DC, charging using lab and measurement equipment, such as power suppliers, oscilloscopes, Vector CANoe, or CANalyzer and provide technical feedback 

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience developing software for Li-ion battery management systems, including but not limited to contactor control, state estimation and fault diagnostics
• Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering, robotics, electrical engineering, or equivalent and 12+ years of industry experience
• Expert-level C, Matlab/Simulink, and Python coding skills 
• Experience with collaborative software developing tools, with an emphasis on version control (git) and continuous integration 
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
