Blackstone Credit & Insurance (“BXCI”) is one of the world’s leading credit investors. Job Description

Analysts will work as quantitative strategists in the Credit & Insurance division. The group develops robust, transparent, efficient models and analytical tools, to help the various businesses in BXCI with investment decisions, risk management and portfolio optimization. This strategist will be part of a team that focuses on Insurance M&A. Example projects across the group can include building relative value analytics for a specific asset class, interactive portfolio optimization applications, performance projection analytics for use in M&A and fund management and models for insurance liabilities and capital.

Qualifications

Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who work well in a team-driven working group, are highly motivated, intelligent, have sound judgment and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. 

The successful candidate must have:

• Degree in a quantitative field, such as computer science, financial engineering, mathematics, statistics, data science or economics
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in portfolio management, mathematical modelling/ or risk analytics
• Strong modeling and mathematical skills
• Strong programming skills in any general purpose programming language (i.e., C++, C#, Java, Python)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, good professional judgment and positive attitude

Expected annual base salary range:

$110,000 - $140,000

Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
