Job Summary
The Billing Manager is responsible for overseeing the invoice to cash process and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of the billing workflow. This role involves managing billing operations, resolving discrepancies, improving billing systems, and ensuring compliance with legal and company standards. The Billing Manager will oversee a US based and international team member along with operations in multiple subsidiaries. Additionally, they will be responsible for generating reports, communication with customers and working cross functionally with internal departments to maintain a smooth and effective billing process.

Salary Range: $75-85,000/year + bonus DOE
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage billing operations and monitor operational/financial workflows to ensure billing compliance for new and existing customers
- Analyze accounts receivable (A/R) data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvement
- Partner with sales and customer service to resolve billing inquiries, providing assistance with information requests
- Identify inefficiencies in accounts receivable processes and develop solutions to streamline workflows
- Generate billing reports with actionable insight and present them to senior management
- Prepare ad-hoc analysis, as needed
- Ensure compliance with legal guidelines and company policies
- Collaborate with IT teams to enhance accounts payable/receivable systems, tools, and processes
- Train, supervise, and support invoicing and collections staff
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years of proven experience as a Billing Manager or in a similar role
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred
- Experience in Software and service contract invoicing including multi-year contracts
- Knowledge of Sage contract module invoicing highly preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Outstanding leadership and supervisory abilities
- High attention to detail and accuracy
