SMX has a Billing Administrator at the Corporate Support role. The responsibilities revolve around a wide range of accounting skills. They are responsible for the operations and activities related to billing for the accounting department. This role will report directly to the Billing Supervisor the position will be a key support element to the Corporate Accounting Invoicing team.
Specific duties will include but are not limited to:
- Tracking Accounts Receivable invoices and investigating nonpayment of Receivables
- Work collaborately with the various departments ex. (Finance, Contracts, Program Managers) to build relationships
- Maintaining compliance with GAAP, FAR, and DCAA
- Support internal and external audits with DCAA/DCMA, and other outside audits as required
- Assist with contract closeouts
- Invoicing Customers and Inter Company invoices
- Work with the customer on identified issues regarding the final invoice, including answering questions, making corrections, and managing funding issues
- Performing Collection efforts on Account Receivable items that are overdue
- Completing Rate Variance Invoices
- Project setup review to ensure accurate billing
Required Skills and Experience:
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP, FAR and compliance within highly regulated environments
- Advanced experience in Deltek Costpoint; including Cognos and T&E
- Experience working with DCAA and DCMA including audit support
- A strong attention to detail with a focus on analytics
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Excel experience is preferred
- 1-2 years of accounting experience in a government contracting environment
- Required Costpoint Experience
- Must be able to effectively meet deadlines and prioritize work assignments for efficiency
- Knowledge of Invoicing is required. Familiarity with Government Invoicing requirements is desired
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Preference will be given to candidates with a BS in Accounting, but Finance and other Business Administration degrees will be considered.

$45,200—$67,800 USD
