Essential Functions
• Defines and carries out procedures to ensure that all information systems products and services meet minimum organization standards and
end-user requirements.
• Collaborate with other lead developers in Application and AI-Machine Learning teams to integrate other components of the software application such as ElasticSearch and AI / Machine Learning pipelines.
• Does Automation, writes test plans and detailed test scripts supporting test cases derived from an analysis of functional requirements and
programming specifications.
• Thoroughly tests software to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects prior to implementation. Documents and works to resolve all
problems. Devises improvements to current procedures and develops models of possible future configurations. Performs workflow analysis
and recommends quality improvements.
• Establishes software quality standards for life cycle, documentation, development methods, testing and maintenance.
• Works collaboratively with developers across the legacy history correction team.
• Translates those business needs into technical specifications and provides input to the requirements for the development of a solution.
• Explores data the data to discover patterns, relationships, anomalies, and trends.
• Creates reports, graphs, and other visualizations to accurately and plainly represent stories within the data.
• Writing relational and multi-dimensional database queries
• Perform code reviews and optimization of existing queries.
• Comprehensively and coherently documents work in Confluence.
• Tracks and defines work within JIRA.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree Computer Science Req
• Master's Degree Computer Science Pref
• 3+ years prior related experience in developing applications or demonstrated success in development with Drug Dev Spark or equivalent
system Req.
• Experience with DevOps workflows, especially CI/CD
• Experience in Git (Bitbucket/GitHub/GitLab).
• Experience with Maven/SBT.
• Knowledge of HTTP and REST.
• Experience working in the Hadoop ecosystem (impala, Hive, UDF, Etc)
• Experience with UI/JavaScript framework such as Node.js, React.js.
• Experience with SQL, Scala, Spark, Python
• Knowledge of ELK (Elasticsearch), AIML.
• Experience with ETL workloads.
• Ability to write clean code
• History of successfully designing small to medium system components
• Good interpersonal communication and presentation skills
