He/she manages and coordinates internal and external dedicated teams (including the

customer) in collaboration with the permanent organisation of the entity. He/she leads the bid & project

activities throughout the bid lifecycle to the satisfaction of the different stakeholders (including the

customer and the entity).

• Contributes to preparing the bid and supporting/contributing to negotiations with the Customer:

- Defines the Bid Baseline based on a viable solution and project structure regarding the

customer requirements and Company strategy/policy.

- Launches the solution oriented phase, organises and plans the future project

- Creates and provides the bid based on the stakeholders’ commitment, by managing risks and

opportunities of the future project.

- Based on the Bid Baseline, defines major milestones for delivery and acceptance, consolidates

costs and validates the whole project baseline for the bid.

• Ensures transition to the project phase

• to close the Bid (archiving of documents, closing of the expenditure authorisations) by capitalising and

sharing on enterprise experience (lessons learnt).

he/she supports optimizations linked to the proposed improvement plans and supports and suggests methods to improve coherence between ongoing programs and proposals, with objective to minimize time spent to build up proposals, taking into account products strategy (CAPEX, R&D, etc)

Additonal Responsibilities and tasks

  • Contribute to setup product benchmarks in order to facilitate quotation phase and improve awareness at Company level.
  • Contribute to the internal and Company processes (Bid status, MYB, WEP, SBP, etc), providing all necessary data and information.
  • Guarantees the correct application of the process rules, in accordance with CHORUS2 (Thales Quality System).
  • To actively cooperate with all the Domain internal functions in order to have the maximum collaboration and transparency in the preparation of the bids and related documentation.

Experience and Skills

The following is necessary for the role:

  • Knowledge and experience of cost estimation, price evaluation and cash analysis.
  • Knowledge of English language.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc)

The following would be an asset:

  • Experience of working in a multi-discipline team environment with project pressures.
  • Knowledge of the ECOS tool

Education & Qualifications

  • Management Engineering degree or equivalent is needed.
  • Membership of a professional management Institution (PMI, IPMA, APICS, etc) is an asset.
