Position Overview:
The BI Analytics Engineer will bridge analytics engineering and business intelligence to deliver scalable data solutions and impactful insights for GTM and Privacy Ops teams at DeleteMe. You will develop and maintain robust data models and pipelines, ensuring data integrity while enabling strategic, data-driven decisions. This role combines technical expertise in dbt and SQL with a focus on aligning data solutions to business objectives. You will collaborate closely with BI Analysts, the DWH team, and stakeholders to support both operational and executive-level needs in a high-growth SaaS environment..
Key Responsibilities:
Data Modeling & Pipeline Development:
-Design, build, and optimize dbt models, transforming raw data into curated datasets for BI Analysts.
-Implement and maintain dbt data quality tests to ensure accuracy and reliability across models and reporting outputs.
-Partner with the DWH team to align on data ingestion strategies and integrate them into analytics pipelines.
Collaboration & Support:
-Work with BI Analysts to prioritize analytics requests and deliver scalable, timely solutions.
-Translate complex business requirements into documented, scalable data models and workflows.
-Troubleshoot and resolve data discrepancies, ensuring consistent alignment across systems and stakeholders.
Governance & Best Practices:
-Contribute to data dictionaries, governance frameworks, and best practices to ensure consistent and transparent data usage.
-Optimize performance and maintain documentation for all data models and pipelines.
Analysis & Insights:
-Perform ad-hoc analyses, including operational metrics, revenue tracking, and customer retention analysis, to support strategic business needs.
-Present insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
-Develop and maintain Tableau dashboards to visualize key data insights and support general reporting needs.
Qualifications:
-Minimum of 3+ years in analytics engineering, business intelligence, or data analysis roles with a focus on supporting cross-functional teams in a SaaS environment.
-Demonstrated SQL and dbt expertise, including designing and implementing scalable data models and pipelines.
-Strong understanding of analytics engineering best practices, including testing, documentation, and performance optimization.
-Familiarity with Tableau or similar data visualization tools.
-Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve data pipeline issues, ensuring data reliability and trust.
-Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to distill complex data into actionable insights.
-Excellent communication skills for presenting findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
-A proactive, self-starter attitude, capable of managing multiple priorities and driving projects to completion in a dynamic environment.
-This role requires domestic and international travel. All standard travel expenses will be covered in accordance with the company's travel reimbursement policy.
