That’s where Moment comes in — in just a matter of weeks, Moment allows customers to easily offer an end-to-end, modern fixed income solution through a simple set of APIs across data, execution, and portfolio management.
Most startups start off serving small businesses, and scale up as they convince larger enterprises to take a bet. Moment’s version of “small businesses” have been firms representing millions of retail investors — and we’re just getting started. The Role

We are looking for talented software engineers to join our team as early members. You will work alongside some of the brightest people in the industry to develop the next generation of well-architected, robust, and scalable systems. Our engineering-driven culture is committed to delivering elegant and functional solutions to customers.

A fintech background is preferred but not required. We value a passion for revolutionizing how retail investors access capital markets. While an interest in finance is appreciated, we will provide comprehensive domain knowledge training during onboarding. Together, we aim to redefine and transform the finance industry.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain core Trading services that drive Moment's product offerings.
• Lead the scope definition, design, implementation, and deployment of robust distributed services, striking the appropriate balance between reliability, throughput, latency, resiliency, engineering velocity, and cost.
• Actively participate in design and architecture reviews for new features, products, or infrastructure components.
• Produce comprehensive documentation throughout all project lifecycle phases.
• Contribute to the evolution of our tech stack as we scale our product.
• Assist in building a world-class team by participating in hiring and mentoring new team members.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2-4+ years of experience in backend engineering.
• Proven ability to architect or build 0-1 services in a large-scale production environment.
• Hands-on experience in building distributed systems in a cloud environment using AWS.
• Proficiency in event-driven systems leveraging Kafka or similar messaging frameworks.
• Familiarity with Go or C++/Java programming languages.
• Working knowledge of Postgres database management system.
• Experience with Trading systems or any financial-related systems is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

For this role, the salary range is $130,000-$170,000. Actual compensation will vary based on skills and experience.
