The Opportunity
Incode is seeking a talented Senior Backend Engineer to join our global, ambitious, and innovative engineering team in Belgrade! As an engineer at Incode you will have the ability to build from scratch, influence product decisions, collaborate with partner teams in design, customer success, and product, and own a wide scope of responsibilities.
As our company continues to scale at a rapid pace, you will be instrumental in building and maintaining our main backend infrastructure. We place a high premium on communication, good design and clean implementation. Above all other factors, we are looking for smart, driven, and ambitious candidates who want to be part of a culture of innovation and creativity as we revolutionize identity.
- Role Title: Senior Backend Engineer
- Direct Report: Backend Engineering Manager
- Area: Engineering
- Location: Serbia
Requirements:
- 5+ years of software development experience
- Proficiency in Java/Kotlin
- Experience with Spring framework ecosystem
- Experience with observability tools (logging, monitoring, tracing)
- Solid understanding of PostgreSQL, MongoDB and Redis
- Experience in domain modeling and REST API design
- Commitment to writing high-quality, maintainable code
Nice to have:
- Experience with AWS
- Experience with Kubernetes
- Experience with Kafka
- Experience with ML centric systems
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Backend and DevOps engineers
- Write high quality code with test coverage
- Participate in code reviews
- Participate in full cycle development: from model and API design to support in production
- Active role in architectural and technology decisions
