Job Description
As a Back-End Developer, you are contributing to the development of our new Digital Reporting Platform (DRP).
The DRP is based on a modern third part party application suite called “Quadient Inspire” including features such as content management, document design, templating & preview, document rendering & batch processing, distribution, archiving, but also supports approaches for interactive report creation (Platform as a Service - PaaS) and modern digital (non-PDF) reports.
Your specific duties include:
- Integrating and operating (incl. maintenance & third level support) of the properitary Quadient Component Suite
- Implement and maintain security measures to protect sensitive data
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks in the back-end infrastructure
- Deliver reusable concepts and solution designs
- Contribute to the overall quality of our deliveries by conducting automated integration testing, load & performance testing and debugging
- Be a technical subject matter expert in technologies such as: Java, Angular, React, Kubernetes (OpenShift), Kafka, Jira, Gitlab, Spring Boot, Azure Dev Cloud
- Experience with databases (e.g. Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g. Apache), container technology (Kubernetes or OpenShift) and DevOps platforms (GitLab)
- Work within an agile setup, leveraging SCRUM and SAFE methodologies to build up the DRP
- Pro-active coaching and guidance of other developers within the agile team
Requirements
- Completed apprenticeship or a completed degree in information technology (business informatics, application development)
- 5+ years of experience in software development
- Preferably, experience in working with the Quadient Component Suite and in the banking area, especially in client reporting or output management
- Good communication skills in German and English
- Passion to code, test and deliver quality applications within the desired timeframes
- Demonstrated experience as a back-end developer or similar role
- A character that combines initiative, independence and team spirit and appreciates tackling challenges together with the team
- Willingness to learn, improve, and to foster a team-oriented growth culture
