The Last Mile Operations Specialist will be responsible for managing and optimizing our company's Last Mile accounts to ensure smooth and cost-effective operations, including FTL/LTL and courier (Fedex/UPS/USPS/DHL). This role involves coordinating with carriers, optimizing transportation routes , tracking shipments, resolving issues, and maximizing efficiency in the transportation process.

 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage and maintain relationships with Last Mile representatives.

2. Coordinate the shipping and receiving process, ensuring timely pickup and delivery of packages.

3. Track shipments and monitor delivery status to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction. 

4. Optimize shipping routes and methods to minimize costs and improve efficiency.

5. Address any issues or delays in the transportation process, including package damages, delivery error.

6. Communicate proactively with clients and internal teams regarding shipment status, delays, or other relevant information.

7. Analyze shipping data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities. 

8. Ensure compliance with all Last Mile Carriers, and regulatory requirements, including documentation, labeling, and packaging standards.

9. Provide support and assistance to other members of the operations team as needed.

10. Stay updated on industry trends, carrier policies, and best practices to continuously improve operations.

 

Requirement:

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field (preferred).

• Previous experience working with Last Mile accounts in a logistics or transportation setting.

• Strong understanding of shipping processes, carrier services, and transportation regulations.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.

• Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and shipping software (e.g., FedEx Ship Manager, UPS WorldShip).

• Problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.

• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules as needed.

 

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
