The Mission
As part of the development towards a “Next Generation Digital Banking Platform”, ING is renewing the Data Management capabilities globally. The Tribe Data Management is building an integrated data management platform for Netherlands organization.
We are constantly improving our Data Lake and focus on maintaining, improving and giving support for our deployment pipeline built in Azure together with a team of passionate platform DevOps engineers. The deployment pipeline services 20+ teams to deploy the next release of their ETL application.
We are looking for an DevOps engineer who is a pipeline enthusiastic, team player, automation innovator, loving CI / CD and understands what the department needs and translate this into awesome pipeline features. All this while also helping in maintaining the Data Lake platforms.
The team
You will work within a platform team who maintains the Oracle EXAdata database, the Azure deployment pipeline, ETL software suite (IBM InfoSphere) and performs operation activities (patching, security) for the underlying Linux RHEL and Windows servers as well as additional services (monitoring, scheduling).
As pipeline engineer within the team, you will connect to all platform services but also to the application teams to make sure the deployment pipeline automation stays at the highest quality level.
Roles and responsibilities
- Taking ownership and support of the Azure CI/CD solutions together with your team members for ETL development teams.
- Creating automation solutions for both the platform and development teams.
- Act as System administrator for RHEL, Windows and Oracle platforms.
- Connecting to the teams within the department and understanding their needs and change it into features.
- Taking security in high regard when you develop new releases.
- Understanding Data Warehousing on a platform level.

- 3-5 year experience in a CI / CD development environment
- Experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines
- Programming / scripting knowledge suited for pipelines like YAML, Python, shell scripting, git.
- Experience with Ansible is required
- Administrator experience on platform appliances and Linux (RHEL) and Windows Operating systems
- Experience in Data Warehousing is preferred
- Stakeholder management for translating needs into features.
Foreign languages: English (advanced)
Education: Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in an IT related field
