The Partnerships Senior Manager/AVP, Payments, is responsible for identifying, developing, and nurturing strategic partnerships to support the growth of our payments products in Indonesia. This role is pivotal in building our payments partner ecosystem, helping us scale our business, create new revenue streams, and enhance the value proposition of our product suite. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the payments landscape, particularly card payments infrastructure, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to build strong relationships across various sectors.

What you will do:

Commercial Partners

  • Drive overall revenue growth by owning yearly partnership plans and pipeline to achieve targets 
  • Develop commercial proposals based on partners’ needs and objectives, working closely with internal stakeholders like product, marketing, compliance and operations 
  • Negotiate commercial and contract terms, in partnership with legal team
  • Own and project manage the end-to-end partnership implementation including product integration, if any 
  • Review and optimise partnership performance to grow revenue 
  • Ensure our  partnerships  approach is driven in line with Elevate operational and risk management processes.  
  • Grow partnerships channel to be a significant customer acquisition source driving revenue growth 

Infrastructure Partners

  • Understand product roadmap and requirements to identify the right infrastructure partner, including payment processors, financial institutions, technology providers etc
  • Partner with compliance and legal team to understand regulatory requirements, influencing the type of partners and commercial model we have with partners
  • Develop a rigorous evaluation framework to assess their offerings, technological capabilities and commercials for selection
  • Assess the performance of existing partnerships against established OKRs and business objectives
  • Utilise data-driven insights to identify areas for optimisation, driving cost savings or efficiency gains
  • Lead negotiations during new contract signing and contract renewals to ensure favorable terms and conditions while mitigating risks.
  • Provide insights into partner capabilities that can inform product features, functionality and workflow processes
  • Understand market positioning, strengths, and weaknesses of competitors by leveraging partners' knowledge and interactions
Requirements

What we are looking for:

  • At least 8-10 years of experience in partnership management within the cards and payments industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field
  • Excellent communication in English (verbal and written)
  • Strong understanding of card payment systems, regulatory frameworks, and industry standards
  • Proven track record of managing complex partnerships 
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible and able to multi-task, excellent project manager with ability to work independently and collaboratively in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
