Your Team, Your Impact
The Associate Vice President of System Hardware Engineering will lead and manage the hardware engineering team responsible for the design, development, and delivery of high-performance system hardware solutions. This role is critical in driving the hardware strategy, validation, and productization of high-speed interfaces of our ICs, ensuring product quality, and maintaining the company's competitive edge in the market. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, including software, firmware, and product management, to deliver innovative products that meet customer needs and industry standards.
What You Can Expect
- Led and managed teams of highly skilled engineers in signal integrity, package design, system/board design, and high-speed interface validation.
- Drive the execution of system hardware projects from concept to production, ensuring alignment with company goals and customer needs.
- Collaborate closely with software, firmware, and IP providers for our solution.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies and apply this knowledge to innovate and improve package and hardware designs.
- Independently drive long-term innovation vision in System, package design, Signal integrity simulation analysis, and characterization.
- The focal point for complex cross-function decision-making revolving around System, Package, Optics, Driver SW, high-speed IP, and product-level Silicon design
- Establish strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including product management, marketing, and technical teams.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Drive the development and implementation of best practices for hardware design, validation, and debugging.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring successful delivery of hardware projects within scope and schedule.
- Collaborate with customers to enable solutions based on innovations and ecosystems developed in-house.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 20+ years of experience in hardware engineering and management, focusing on system-level design and development in the semiconductor industry.
- Proven track record of successfully leading hardware engineering teams and delivering high-quality hardware products.
- Strong technical expertise in signal integrity, power management, and thermal management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound technical and strategic decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience working with semiconductor operations teams is an advantage.
- Experience in switching related technologies is an advantage.
