  • Independently assess risks and drive actions to address the root causes that lead to operational risk losses by challenging both historical and proposed practices
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the enterprise to further develop and strengthen the operational risk framework
  • Provide clear and concise verbal and written recommendations and guidance to internal stakeholders on matters of operational risk management
  • Stay apprised of and advise on industry trends and regulatory best practices with respect to risk management and control frameworks
  • Oversee the preparation of the Division's Operational Risk Committee (ORC) reporting, which may include KRls, issues, operational risk events, and remediation efforts and presenting to the ORC and Division Risk Management Committee
  • Lead/support the development and maintenance of operational risk and resilience policies, standards, and guidelines
  • Influence and monitor progress of action plans to improve the risk and control environment arising from risk assessments, risk monitoring, internal and external audits, and regulatory exams
  • Provide education and training to business, operations, and technology associates to implement/enhance existing risk, resilience, and compliance processes to help ensure sustainability and avoid duplication of effort

The experience you will bring:

  • Solid experience in designing, implementing, and validating the effectiveness of operational controls
  • Change management experience, including project and/or program management

What will make you stand out:

  • Experience with institutional retirement markets/products
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically
  • Ability to interact professionally and confidentially with senior leaders on sensitive matters
