About this Position

The AVP of Securities Finance Management leads all financial analysis and budgeting activities, according to company policies and best practices. This position also coordinates all communications with the External Auditors (KPMG) and the Finance/Accounting departments for Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) requirements, FICCA Control reporting and year end Financial Statement Testing Requirements. This role safeguards the financial health of the Securities Operations department by maintaining the highest level of control, integrity and analytical rigor.
This is a hybrid position that requires working onsite in the Duluth, Georgia office and remotely multiple days each week.
The estimated salary range for this role is: 100K plus bonus

Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • Manages and develops the Securities Operations financial reporting process, including preparation of consolidated forecasting and monthly, quarterly and annual reports to executive leadership and other stakeholders. 
  • Communicates with External Auditors and Finance for all financial control related functions. 
  • Analyze, evaluate, develop, and implement new controls and risks that optimize operations or required for new SOX or FICCA related process. 
  • Maintains, gathers, coordinate external audit requirements for Securities department SOX, Financial Audit and FICCA testing.
  • Works with Securities top executives to analyze and project resources required.
  • Involved in developing and maintaining proposal templates and materials, reviewing outgoing contracts and monitoring cost proposal trends.
  • Retains first-level approval authority on all Securities purchase requests, financial projects, invoices and expense approvals.
  • Review ISP Operations slides for accuracy in amounts, counts, calculations and date ranges.  
  • Create annual budget and analyze trends month over month or year over year, questioning any unusual changes
  • Provides direct management and leadership to the Securities Finance team through promoting change and process improvement

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years experience in leadership with financial management experience
  • FINRA Securities License Series 6/7 and 26/24 required or may be obtained by learning agreement
  • Familiarity with Month-end and Financial Forecasting and Audit requirements
  • Knowledge of Securities Industry concepts such as Variable Annuities, Mutual Funds and Managed Accounts. 
  • Understanding of GAAP accounting

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or higher
  • Strong Excel Skills
  • Strong Analytical Skills
  • Experience with Apptio or similar data systems is preferred
  • Basic accounting skills with Workday or similar general ledger experience 
  • Query or SQL experience preferred
