What We're Looking For

Cross River’s Procurement team is looking to bring on an AVP to support and develop the enterprise-wise Procurement function. They will report to the head of the group who reports to the CFO. They will work closely with the different stakeholders of the procurement process and business units across the enterprise, supporting both the tactical and strategic aspects of the procurement function build out. Successful performance will allow CRB to exceed savings targets and allow the candidate to grow within the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Cross River’s strategic sourcing activities to develop procurement function within the enterprise and expand further expense discipline
  • Manage T&E and non-T&E reimbursement requests, and ensure accurate and timely T&E budget allocation and tracking
  • Lead expense savings activities within several procurement categories (e.g. IT spend) to reach expense discipline goals and improve management of NIE budget spend
  • Support day-to-day procurement requisitions review and approval process
  • Collaborate and strengthen relationships with various stakeholders within Finance and across the enterprise to ensure a smooth and compliant review/approval/processing of sourcing requisitions and to increase socialization of procurement flows and PO creation
  • Manage contract negotiations with subset of vendors with goal to maximize enterprise savings, rationalize costs and optimize vendor agreement terms
  • Grow the procurement function by establishing best practices and market standards strategies and processes
  • Monitor and implement proper controls around procurement governance process

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or any related field
  • 5+ years relevant work experience with a public financial services firm, preferably in a procurement/sourcing function, IT procurement experience preferred
  • Ability to build financial models in Excel
  • Ability to create Procurement strategies in PowerPoint and communicate them with a broad cross-functional audience
  • Strong analytical thinker who uses data to drive decision making
  • Ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms to various levels across the enterprise
  • Team player, “can do” and client-focused attitude, with executive presence

Salary Range: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00
