Position Overview:
The AVP, Capital Partners will play a crucial role in supporting the operational effectiveness and execution across the operations, due diligence, compliance, and transaction management functions. This individual will assist in day-to-day operations, regulatory oversight, due diligence, and investor activity to ensure smooth operations and alignment with business objectives. The role offers the opportunity to lead key processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Support:

Assist in managing day-to-day operational processes, including oversight of trade execution, settlement, and reconciliation of investor capital activity.

Collaborate with internal teams and external service providers (fund administrators, custodians, and counterparties) to ensure smooth transaction flows and adherence to operational standards.

Support the implementation of best operational practices to improve efficiency, control risks, and support business growth.
UCITS Fund Oversight:

Aid in overseeing the operational and regulatory framework of a UCITS Fund, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry best practices.

Work closely with the management team to monitor governance, regulatory reporting, and performance tracking.

Facilitate AML/KYC onboarding and ongoing oversight in partnership with the Fund Administrator and Management Company.
Due Diligence & Risk Management:

Support the due diligence process ensuring thorough assessment and monitoring of operational risks and timely submission of questionnaires and RFPs.

Assist in maintaining and enhancing the due diligence framework and workflows, ensuring all vehicles meet compliance and regulatory requirements.

Proactively monitor and update risk mitigation strategies, working closely with the risk and compliance teams.
Investor Relations & Transaction Management:

Manage investor lifecycle processes, including onboarding, subscription, and redemption workflows, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Assist in responding to investor queries and prepare materials for client meetings and presentations in collaboration with Investor Relations and Business Development teams.

Work with legal and compliance teams to ensure that investor documentation remains compliant and up to date.
Team Collaboration & Leadership:

Provide support to senior leadership in mentoring and developing junior team members within the operations function.

Foster strong working relationships with internal teams (investment, finance, risk, compliance) and external partners (auditors and service providers).

Monitor operational performance against KPIs and report findings to senior management, identifying opportunities for process improvements.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or other numeric field is essential.

A minimum 5+ years’ experience as a qualified accountant.

5+ years of experience in financial services, with a focus on audit, operations, fund administration, or investment management.

Strong knowledge of the Reinsurance and ILS markets. Familiarity with UCITS funds, Cat Bond structures, and related regulatory frameworks.

Proven experience with managing Operational Due Diligence consisting of ad hoc, quarterly and annual investor questionnaires.

Strong knowledge of AML/KYC processes, investor transaction life cycle, and due diligence workflows.

Experience with managing a small team.

Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.

Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-functional environment and manage multiple priorities.
