For our Autonomous Technology Group in Portland, OR we are hiring a Strategy and Business Development lead to manage aspects of our L4 technology partnerships and strategic business collaborations.
We are seeking a passionate individual to drive our autonomous business development and strategy development. This role is crucial in advancing our mission to revolutionize freight transportation through autonomous technology. You will manage strategic business development, establishing and executing partnerships, projects and initiatives that propel our L4 technology products. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external technology partners to shape the Autonomous customer journey and future business models.

We Take Care of Our Team
Position offers a starting salary range of $117,000.00 - $150,000.00 USD
Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience

What You Drive at DTNA

Manage existing L4 partnerships and develop new partnerships based on market requirements, regulatory framework and understanding of ATG’s vision for Autonomous Trucking.

Drive the commercialization of our Autonomous Program with our L4 partners, customers, and Daimler Truck cross-functional areas.

Lead agreement negotiations and manage contract terms with industry and technology partners.

Develop and execute go-to-market strategies, ensuring successful customer adaptation of the autonomous trucking technology.

Communicate and collaborate with a broad range of areas and high-level executives to drive significant business impact. Build consensus for recommendations.

Represent DTNA L4 Strategy internally and externally at industry events, customer meetings, and councils.

Articulate business & product requirements in collaboration with technical stakeholders, taking into consideration overall strategy and objectives.

Coordinate and align the ATG product strategy with local and global Daimler Truck entities and a wide array of internal and external stakeholders.

Entrepreneurial spirit with a demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in a fast-paced innovative environment required.

Deep understanding of and passion for the autonomous technology sector as well as relevant DTNA strategy, business and partnership processes.
Knowledge You Should Bring
-
Bachelor's degree in a Technical, Economic or Marketing field, with 5 years of related experience.

5+ years of experience in either partnership management, business development, M&A, strategy, supplier management, purchasing or project leadership.

Macro and micro economic knowledge and skill to create business cases for investments.

Technical understanding of autonomous driving technology & product concepts as well as product development processes.

Experience working in a global / multi-cultural environment.

Extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of the commercial vehicle industry and commercial vehicle ecosystem.

Network with DTNA Engineering, high-tech firms, Finance & Controlling, Legal, Compliance, and strategic partners within established processes.

Must be well organized, able to handle multiple, detailed tasks, and work professionally with various levels of DTNA management.

Excellent communication skills and experience working in a multi-cultural environment

Ability to travel domestically (50%) and internationally (20%).

Master’s degree or PhD in management, STEM, business.

Expertise in disruptive market and innovation adoption behaviors/ trend forecasting.

Knowledge of Daimler policies, technical and corporate compliance.

Strong analytical and reasoning skills with technical, contractual and financial issues.

Track record of successfully executing project initiatives, ensuring performance, cost, quality, and timeline objectives are met.

Familiarity with agile software / start-up culture and processes is valued.
