VetsEZ is seeking a remote Automation Tester to be a part of a team supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs. The ideal candidate will oversee the testing lifecycle for software solutions and will lead a team of testers to ensure that all software deliverables meet the highest standards of quality, functionality, and performance.
The candidate must reside within the continental US.
Responsibilities:
- Develop test plans and test cases based on business requirements and technical specifications.
- Execute manual and automated tests to identify defects and ensure the software meets quality standards.
- Report bugs and issues to the development team, providing detailed information and steps to reproduce the problem.
- Conduct regression testing to ensure new code changes do not adversely affect existing functionalities.
- Document test cases, test results, and defects to support development and maintenance.
- Work closely with developers, QA analysts, and other team members to ensure seamless integration and testing.
- Conduct performance testing to ensure the software meets performance criteria and benchmarks.
- Stay updated with the latest testing tools and techniques and implement improvements in the testing process.
- Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support team objectives and ensure the success of the project.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience is required.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Hands-on experience with automated testing tools (Selenium, TestNG, JUnit).
- Familiarity with performance testing tools (JMeter) and security testing tools.
- Proficiency in test management tools (TestRail) and issue-tracking systems (Jira).
- Experience with Agile and DevOps environments, including continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and present findings to stakeholders.
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience working with Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) or other federal agencies.
- Experience in SAFe/Agile Software Development.
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-stakeholder and DevSecOps environment.
- Ability to obtain a government clearance.
