Job Details
The Automation Test Senior Engineer will be part of a project team responsible for developing and maintaining automation processes for one of the Division’s most critical products. Reporting to Kantar Profiles Technology division, this role involves implementing and maintaining quality assurance processes and ensuring compliance with established standards.
What you’ll be doing
- Setting up Automation Framework
- Maintaining the Automation
- Debugging issues
- Work with the development team to implement automated testing:
- Initiate discussions on automation approach
- Guide test prioritization
- Assess implementation
- Assess automated scenarios
- Work across multiple development teams to ensure all integration and cross functional features are completed
- Work with development team on release timelines of software/products
- Assist in setting and driving holistic quality assurance direction on ongoing projects/processes.
- Creation of automation reporting, so we know what has run, passed and failed
- Work with development team on release timelines of software/products and establishing minimum release qualifications.
- Ensure documents for quality control measures, for example, testing methods, in order to guarantee the achievement of the defined quality objectives and standards, are managed and controlled.
- Ensure high standards are met for large and complex projects to a very high standard
- Work with sprint team to identify and help to refocus team's efforts when project deliverables are off-course or not technically feasible.
- Support the collection of data for producing analytical reports in order to assess ongoing QA performance and support recommendations for changes or improvement in the software/product development process
- Maintain knowledge of emerging best practices and adopt the most suitable methods for application in the quality assurance department.
The skills & experience needed as an Automation Test Senior Engineer
- Significant experience in an automation role within a complex and constantly evolving market.
- Advanced working knowledge of the following:
- Java
- Docker, Maven
- CICD pipeline
- Debugging skills
- API testing skills
- Collaboration with the Dev team
- Automated testing skills
- AWS/Azure
- Understanding of the following
- Ruby
- C#
- Bash
- Feature files
- Mock
- AI
- Ability to assess test strategy, feature files, test cases to ensure:
- Requirements are met
- Non-functional requirements are met
- Maintainability considered
- Have demonstrated experience in creating, interpreting, and analysing general technical procedures, analytics reports, and procedure manuals. A suitable candidate will also demonstrate vast and superior knowledge/experience working with numerous methodologies and tools.
- Excellent communicator and listener
- Ability to exercise judgement that favours the priorities of the wider engineering organisation rather than locally optimal outcomes
- Domain Expertise - demonstrate a high level of depth in a particular platform or product category that brings unique business value
