This Automation Specialist will report to our Development Team Lead and will focus on projects using technology to improve service for our clients and increase efficiency for our staff. Examples of possible projects include: coding in Python, Selenium, integrating processes related to TPA business via API, data layer, and other methods.
This full-time, non-exempt position is remote from your home office. We will provide you with a home office set-up including a computer and a phone. Nova has been offering remote work for over 10 years. We offer a great work experience for our remote employees!
This is a position for a seasoned coding professional with at least three (3) years of experience in a professional development environment. Job Responsibilities:
- Continually grow in this role to take ownership of key technical processes that provide critical support to our business
- Assist in projects identified by management to automate work processes, improve customer service and company image
- Research and implement complex technology solutions to improve process resiliency, stability, and prepare our systems to scale
- Maintain and build upon scripts and code written by others
- Report regularly to management verbally and in writing
- Communicate potential issues and solutions so that management and other team members can understand
- Interact with our software vendors about potential automation projects
- Communicate with the technical team to ensure proposed solutions are consistent with our standards
- Collaborate with different segments of the business and coding team including vocalizing concerns and offering solutions
- Desire to learn industry-specific tools used to manipulate data
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- A minimum of five years of experience building production code in a team environment
- At least three years of experience working as a developer using Python, Java, or other common programming language
- Familiarity with virtual machines, MySql, and GitHub
- Ability to document processes or project management in a team environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Curiosity-independent research and analytical skills
- High level of critical thinking
- Coachable
- Ability to learn and work with various APIs
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Comfortable with Microsoft Teams and conference calls as primary method of interacting with team leader
- Desire to continually improve systems in maintainability and resilience
Compensation and Benefits:
- Base Salary $100,000 - $115,000 (dependent on experience)
- Salaried, non-exempt position

- Must work from USA and be authorized to work for any US employer
- Attend regular video meetings via Microsoft Teams or equivalent
