We believe it takes great people to create a great product. That’s why our team lives our company values, and we hire based on them, too. Since 2010, Pipedrive has been on a mission to support sales and marketing teams with easy-to-use, powerful tools that make everyday work faster and easier. Today, our cloud-based software is trusted by over 100,000 companies and used in 179 countries. We have grown from a five-person team to a truly international company of over 850+ people, representing more than 50 nationalities, with ten offices distributed across Europe and the US. In 2020, Pipedrive received a majority investment from Vista Equity Partners, a global investment firm that invests exclusively in enterprise software, data and technology-enabled businesses, making Pipedrive the fifth unicorn from Estonia.

Pipedrive implements about 500 deployments to production per week, with more than 300 developers and without a dedicated testing department. Learn more about how we work in tribes, how we deploy, and what we do to “Support Quality Releases while Deploying 50+ Times Per Day.”

The Quality Team applies its expertise to help Pipedrivers with quality, testing, and training, among other things. We're embedding our quality practices to ensure that each solution element meets appropriate quality standards throughout the development process. Unlike manual testing specialists, as an automation engineer at Pipedrive, you will help developers to solve complex engineering problems: starting from overseeing the development process to ensuring that software meets predetermined quality standards, continuing with pairing up on writing scripts through automation of testing, and ending with the creation and maintenance of testing tools so the developers can test their code.

Join our team and bring your fresh ideas and expertise, including quality and test automation skills, to push quality forward.

Your new adventure:

  • Participate in expansion/implementation of new test framework to enable developers writing tests
  • Partner with various functions, like QA analysts and software developers, in understanding technical and business needs, helping develop suitable test frameworks and creating scalable test solutions through automation
  • Define testing strategies to ensure the product being released is up to industry and company standards
  • Coach developers on which tests should be automated and how to write tests
  • Drive adoption of best practices in code health, testing, and test automation process improvements
  • Keep updated with the latest industry developments
  • Conduct quality onboarding for newcomers on the rotation base

Does this sound like you?

  • 3-4+ years of experience as an automation engineer
  • Experience in building test automation solutions, maintaining automated frameworks, and improving testing effectiveness
  • Experience with frameworks used for test automation (Cypress, Jest, Mocha, Puppeteer, or Selenium WebDriver, etc.)
  • Proficiency with at least one programming language, preferably JavaScript (i.e. NodeJS)
  • Ability to work and achieve results without daily supervision while collaborating with other engineers
  • Strong communication skills and openness to feedback
  • Overall, the role requires multiple skill sets, including problem-solving, troubleshooting, statistical process control, software testing, and, most importantly, automation

Would be a plus:

  • Strong manual testing background
  • Experience in Cypress and JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Experience with modern quality assurance practices and tools
  • A decent understanding of CI/CD process and tools (Jenkins, Git)
  • Experience with container-based architecture and deployments (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Proficiency in SQL

Why Pipedrive?

  • A value-driven work environment where people come first
  • A lively bunch of colleagues from over 50 different countries, with offices in Tallinn, Tartu, Lisbon, Prague, London, Dublin, New York, Florida, Riga and Berlin
  • A team serious about getting things done while not taking ourselves too seriously
  • A world-class working environment full of perks like parties, craft workshops, snacks and, of course, office dogs
  • Flexible working hours as long as you’re there for your team members
  • Freedom to execute your ideas with a passionate and motivated team supporting you
  • Lots of room for personal and career development, with internal and external training opportunities
  • Competitive salary and bonus system and all the benefits you’d expect from a great employer (health and accident insurance, health days, a quarterly contribution to sports, in-house coaches, employee discounts and more)

  • Pipedrive is an equal opportunity employer. We encourage diversity in the workplace regardless of age, gender, race, religion, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or veteran status.

Based on this role’s access to certain data, Pipedrive may conduct a pre-employment background investigation in conjunction with your application for employment with our company. Data from such investigations will be handled in accordance with Pipedrive’s Privacy Policy for Recruitment.
