Job Description
We are looking for a Automation Quality Analyst. This position will be full-time and Hybrid Bangalore.
What You’ll Do
1. Quality Process Mastery
- Participate in all applicable agile ceremonies.
- Writes Test Cases and Test Scripts and creates Test Data (if needed).
- Understand and comply with the defined and agreed Software Development Life Cycle and CMMI standards of the organization.
- Understands and executes various approaches used in testing such as System, Integration and Regression.
- Properly executes the given test cases / test scripts, identifies the correct behavior of the system under test, replicates and reports uncovered defects.
- Reporting and tracking of bugs identified during manual/automation testing.
- Contributes to the continuous improvement of the QA procedures and guidelines.
- Identify the testcases which can be automated and write automation scripts.
- Attend peer review meetings for both functional and automation.
- Release demo to stakeholders after each sprint/release.
- Knowledge transfer sessions to peers / stakeholders (When needed/requested).
2. Administrative
- Records activities in ATLAS and reports/elevates issues to superior when needed.
- Conducts needed validation to ensure compliance to the procedures in CMMI.
- Prepares and submits needed reports.
3. Teamwork
- Closely coordinates with other team members of the applications development and support.
- Facilitates effective team interaction adhering to the values of the company and meeting the objectives.
3. Learning and Development
- Expand knowledge on business process and IT related information
- Stay abreast of current technology, system information, problems, changes and updates relevant to the team.
What You'll Need
- Has obtained a bachelor's degree in either of the following BE/MCA/MSc Comp.
- Has at least 1 year working experience in manual testing and 2-3 years in UI automation testing.
- Strong knowledge of manual testing, QA testing tools, different approaches, quality methodologies, standards, best practices and quality processes.
- Knowledgeable in SDLC focused on requirement analysis, design, testing.
- Exposure in business operations related to manufacturing, distribution and financial operations will be an advantage.
- Good to have ISTQB Testing Certifications.
- A competitive analytical and problem-solving skills and advanced communicative competence.
- Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results.
- Report bugs and errors to development teams.
- Help troubleshoot issues.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Identify the testcases which can be automated or identify the scope for performance testing.
- Able to independently write automation test scripts to automate the identified test cases or according to the scope.
Physical Demands
- Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
- Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor.
