This role will be based in our Saudi Arabia office, on an in-office basis. This role reports to the Chief Learning & Development Officer.
Position Summary
The Attorney Development Manager (ADM) will collaborate with the firm’s Director of Attorney Development and other Managers on the Professional Development (PD) team to develop and implement innovative programs to onboard, train, mentor, develop, engage, and retain the firm’s attorneys with a focus on associates and professional development initiatives. This position will be based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and is a firmwide role with a focus on the Middle East as well as other global offices as needed.

Key Responsibilities
Firmwide Projects
The ADM will be assigned to leading or contributing to projects across the firm. Examples of those projects are Associate Retreats, Associate Review Process, and Mentor programs. The Director of Attorney Development will assign those projects as they arise.
Regional Responsibilities
The ADM will manage and lead firmwide projects and have regional office responsibilities. Those responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

The ADM will support the attorneys in the Middle East and other global offices as needed. The responsibilities include the following:
- Develops a deep understanding of the culture of each office
- Meets with, foster relationships, and effectively communicate with Managing Shareholders and Career Development Liaisons (CDLs) on a regular basis in each office
- Develops and administer training programs, live, virtual, and hybrid, that meet professional development goals, including assistance in developing program materials; managing project timelines; assessing quality and quantity of attorney development opportunities
- Identifies appropriate training and delivery methods to achieve business objectives
- Coordinates local programming in partnership with the CDLs, including CLDP and CPD programs; facilitate, implement, and teach local programs as needed
- Serves as the point person for CLPD and CPD programs internally and with the Government of Dubai Legal Affairs Department and other regulatory agencies
- Understands the associate population and oversee the engagement of associates
- Provides an associate orientation to the PD department and programming and assist with integration into the office and the firm
- Welcomes new shareholders to the offices and provide PD department highlights
- Provides integration opportunities for new associates including introductions to others
- Works with associates on strategies for success and individual career development, including business development plans
- Meets with, build relationships, communicate, and collaborate with Business Directors, HR Managers, Marketing, and other firm departments
- Monitors the mentor program and ensure all associates in your region have mentors
- Travels to the offices on a regular basis or as programming warrants
- Reinforces or advertise webinar and in-person programming to associates and encourage attendance
- Assists with the associate evaluation process on a regional level
- Tracks and provide reports on region’s PD efforts and training metrics to key leadership and management
- Stays current on trends and best practices in leading learning and education solutions

Education & Prior Experience
- A Juris Doctor degree, LL.B., or LPC as well as strong project management skills; a background practicing law at a large law preferred
- A minimum of 5-7 years of attorney professional development experience; significant experience in a large law firm is also preferred
- 1-2 years of prior supervisory experience desired
- Demonstrated success establishing, developing, and managing robust career development functions in a national or international, multi-office environment
Technology
- Proficiency with Windows-based software and Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required
- Familiarity with learning management systems, adult learning techniques, and online learning technologies a plus
