Job Description Summary
The Assurance Insights & Review Senior Consultant will participate in planning, executing and follow up of Global Assurance Deep Dives/ Reviews. The role performs internal review and assurance initiatives supporting end- to-end Financial Reporting and Accounting processes, bringing transparency and quality into risks identification and assessment as well as proposing solutions. The role also supports process improvements and mitigation in a global scale, leveraging Data & Analytics for targeted and focused reviews and driving efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Identifies opportunities for Process and Control Deep Dives, leveraging Data & Analytics inputs, existing financial risk score cards, other relevant metrics and management insights.

Closely collaborates with key stakeholders – finance, compliance, audit to ensure effective and efficient assurance initiatives with minimal overlaps/duplication.

Executes Assurance Deep Dives of agreed scope both remotely and through on-site visits.

Supports mitigation and remediation actions where necessary and ensures existing risk management processes are leveraged, including FC&C processes.

Work with Data & Analytics team to continually improve the Assurance Risk Dashboard, reflecting the evolving risks and insights gleaned from stakeholders and previous Assurance Deep Dives.

Represent Global Assurance processes, insights and outputs consistently across Novartis stakeholders whilst respecting data quality and security.

Continually develops professional expertise and introduces industry perspective based on best practices.

Adhere to all relevant policies and standards.
Essential Requirements:

Some years of experience in relevant finance roles and leading position in Accounting, Reporting and / or Finance Compliance and Audit

Experience working with data mining or process analytics software, process automation software and/or AI powered process software

Extensive experience in audit, operational excellence, business analysis, process improvement, risk management and change management

Certified Public Accountant/Chartered Management Accountant (or equivalent) is a plus

Demonstrated analytical, process-oriented, performance and data driven mindset. Ability to understand complex situations, interdependencies and challenges holistically

Excellent communication skills, able to engage and influence beyond Financial Reporting and Accounting community and to drive stakeholder management in a changing environment
