What You’ll Do

The Associate Visual Designer will have an impact on the Tekmetric customer-facing communications. In this position, you will work collaboratively with a Lead Designer and a team, from concept, to design, through to production.Your passion and attention to details will raise the bar of our brand, campaigns and overall visual design. 

You will be responsible for:

  • Create visually appealing marketing materials, including social media graphics, email templates, brochures, and presentation decks.
  • Collaborate with the Lead Designer and Marketing team to develop campaigns and content that align with brand strategy.
  • Update and maintain existing assets, such as reformatting and resizing graphics for different channels.
  • Conduct quality checks on designs to ensure they meet company standards and align with brand guidelines.
  • Support Lead Designer with larger, more complex projects by executing components such as resizing, layout adjustments, and exporting assets.
  • Stay updated on design trends and recommend innovative ideas to keep our visuals fresh and competitive.

What You’ll Bring

  • Design Skills: A strong portfolio showcasing proficiency in visual design, typography, color theory, and layout principles.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.), Figma, familiarity with Canva, Cap Cut or similar tools, and basic knowledge of web design.
  • Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail, ensuring precision and quality in every aspect of your work. You care about the little things - such as font sizes, leading, padding, alignment, typos, and all aspects to make your work shine.
  • Trends interest: Awareness of design trends as well as curiosity and passion for new and innovative design ideas.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to clearly articulate design choices and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Time Management: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Adaptability: Openness to learning and adapting in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Education and Experience: A degree in graphic design, visual communication, or a related field, and 1-2 years of professional design experience (internships included).
