The Opportunity
Bring your expertise to a highly collaborative, creative, and innovative team with a market-leading technology product suite. We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer to produce easy-to-follow product documentation that drives product adoption, and client retention. Candidates should possess experience in technical writing for SaaS products with particular preference for financial technology. You will work closely with stakeholders to create content across our help center, product tours, product roadmaps and more.
This position reports to our Senior Manager of Adoption and collaborates with numerous functions across the organization. This is an exceptional opportunity for a driven, detail-oriented top performer to produce immediate impact within a globally-focused financial technology firm. As a Technical Writer focused on product documentation at Chronograph, you will:
- Work with product and engineering teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of our products and the documentation requirements.
- Produce high-quality documentation that helps tell our story and present use cases in an easy, consumable way across our product suite.
- Keep our help center and knowledge resources up-to-date, working with product marketing to identify content opportunities and how our end users use our products.
- Analyze existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities.
- Develop and maintain a detailed database of reference materials, including research, usability tests, user requirements, and design specifications.
You will be successful in this role if you have:
- Four (4) or more years of experience writing with at least two (2) years of technical writing experience in a complex SaaS environment.
- Financial experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong editorial experience developing easy-to-follow user content and documentation.
- Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures.
- Basic familiarity with the product development lifecycle and software development.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in english, communications or marketing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong relationship building skills to effectively partner with people of all levels.
- Experience working with a contemporary tech stack, including help center solutions, GSuite, and more.
