TEAM

The Vehicle Security team is working on the next generation of software for Toyota vehicles. Located in Woven by Toyota's Tokyo office, the team develops, builds, and secures on-vehicle components.


WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a motivated Technical Program Manager who is looking for new challenges. The Technical Program Manager will be responsible for managing and delivering security projects within the Product Security team. You will coordinate with various stakeholders, ensure compliance with security standards, and oversee the successful implementation of security controls and features in our products.


You will report to the Head of Product Security, and this role's workplace type is is onsite - you will work in the office 5 days a week.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and manage projects related to in vehicle cybersecurity from initiation to completion, ensuring they align with Vehicle Security's strategic goals
  • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, resources, and responsibilities
  • Track project progress, manage risks, and ensure timely delivery of project milestones
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including engineering teams, product owners, and compliance teams
  • Produce project reports and metrics, presenting them to cybersecurity leadership and other stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with Cybersecurity Management System (CSMS) requirements and other relevant security standards
  • Oversee the release management process for Arene Security products, including software and analysis assessments
  • Create and manage release plans, ensuring all deliverables meet quality standards
  • Track and manage defects through a defined product vulnerability management process
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in project management and security assessments

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Business or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in technical project management, preferably in a security-focused role
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
  • Experience in project management tools and methodologies
  • Fluency in English and Japanese language

NICE TO HAVES:

  • Basic understanding of security principles, risk management, and compliance requirements
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and standards such as ISO 21434, NIST, or similar
  • Knowledge in C/C++
  • Experience with Jira, Git, and other relevant tools
