Position Summary
General Atlantic is looking to hire an Associate to support the Fund Tax Compliance team. The Fund Tax Compliance team oversees the preparation and filing of the firm’s partnership and corporate investment entities’ tax filings, as well as the corresponding investor deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Assist with team with data reconciliations and review of documentation
- Preparation of quarterly schedules such as new investments, liquidity, partner transfers, and tax-specific adjustments
- Work with accounting teams to make sure tax refunds and payments are allocated correctly
- Review quarterly tax estimates for our family office and yearly estimates for our LPs
- Review and approve external service provider-prepared tax workpapers and K-1s for our annual LP deliverables
- Coordinate information requests with external service providers
- Assist with ad-hoc investor, legal, regulatory, and management requests
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, CPA preferred
- 2+ years of experience in audit or tax compliance, ideally within a private equity, financial services, or accounting firm setting
- Strong proficiency in Excel and other MS Office tools
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a high level of attention to detail
- Strong analytical abilities, creativity, thoughtful business judgment, outside-the-box thinking and professional maturity
- Ability to set priorities and direct team members accordingly, highly organized, attentive to detail and ability to handle various deliverable deadlines
- High energy level, effective communication skills, intellectual curiosity, and a passion for working
- Desire to collaborate with colleagues throughout the firm globally

General Atlantic offers a robust reward program to all employees that will support you and your family, maintaining fulfilling, secure and healthy lives now and into the future, which includes but is not limited to medical insurance, retirement savings contributions, mental and physical health resources and an equal pay program that allows you to earn a base salary of $100,000 - 150,000 USD of which the exact amount offered will be driven by the degree to which you meet role requirements, additional special skills and experience.
