The primary focus of the Associate Talent Acquisition Specialist - Operations is to attract and hire a qualified pool of talent for hourly operations and maintenance positions within our manufacturing plants.  On some occasions, the Associate Talent Acquisition Specialist - Operations will also recruit for front line supervisory positions, manufacturing and distribution facility management positions and corporate positions.  This position works closely with local plant HR Managers to understand workforce needs and to develop an approach to filling the pipeline with qualified individuals from diverse candidate pools. 

Core Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the recruitment processes such as candidate screening, scheduling interviews and extending offers for hourly roles in a high-volume recruitment environment.

  • Provides regular status updates to plant HR Managers and hiring managers on candidate progress throughout the process.

  • Utilizes Applicant Tracking System to move candidates through the application process. - Develops pipeline of candidates by leveraging job boards, local recruitment and other partnerships.

  • Creates and attends hiring events to support staffing initiatives across the country.

  • Supports recruitment for salaried roles by screening, scheduling interviews and extending offers to candidates that match our job qualifications and experience requirements.

  • Develop and execute innovative solutions for operational recruitment.

  • Office out of plant(s) environment and spends time understanding the various positions we typically hire to improve hiring fit and reduce turnover.

  • Assists in oversight and maintenance of affirmative action data to ensure compliance in all recruitment, promotions, and transfer processes.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Company will consider a currently enrolled college student with an anticipated graduation by end of current school year as qualified. 

  • Knowledge and past use of a server-based applicant tracking system, preferred. - Fundamental interviewing skills experience, preferred.

  • Knowledge of Federal, State, and employment regulations and policies. - Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

  • Strong initiative and solid judgment.

  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to build relationships both within and outside the organization. 

  • Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.

  • Must possess a high level of professionalism, discretion and ability to self-manage his/her time from remote locations.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Travel up to 20% to conduct regional HR recruiting events or work temporarily in another location to meet company hiring needs. Periodic overnight travel required.

  • Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.

  • Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
