Role Overview:

The Associate Systems Administrator is key duties and responsibilities are immediate response to facility-related issues to prevent or mitigate any impact on hospital or data center operations. This role involves providing technical support to employees, end-users, resolving technical issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of the IT help desk. The technician must possess strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a customer-service-oriented mindset. The administrator is also responsible for monitoring their work ticket queue.

Responsibilities:

  • Document and maintain equipment inventory and electrical circuit assignments.
  • Document and maintain elevation diagrams for all installed data center assets.
  • Collect environmental data, analyze and produce trending analysis reports.
  • Install equipment into Data Center racks.
  • Open Data Center Access Tickets as needed and escort vendors into data centers.
  • Support onsite remote hospital data centers.
  • Act as a Data Center Operations Resource for new projects.
  • Be able to lift equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be flexible to work all shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Education & Experience:

  • High School diploma required
  • Associate degree, 2+ years job related experience or technical certification preferred.
  • 1+ year experience in a Data Center Operations role.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting (problem determination/resolution) skills.
  • Basic experience using a Service Desk ticketing system such as Service Now.
  • Basic knowledge of ITIL.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows technologies, Apple products and networking principles are a plus.
  • Possess a strong working knowledge of PC operation and software (Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel proficiency).
  • Possess a valid Driver’s License and the ability to travel to offsite locations as required.

Salary Range

$52,990$60,000 USD
