Associate Scientist, Biotransformation

We are seeking an Associate Scientist to join Q2 Solutions, IQVIA’s laboratory business at our Indianapolis, IN location.

Analyze and report in vitro and in vivo biotransformation studies, focusing on analytical method development, metabolite profiling, and reporting. Manage and collaborate with senior staff regarding study execution related to timelines, data quality, and interpretation of results.

What you’ll be doing:

• Perform tasks associated with in vitro and in vivo metID studies.

• Independently develop, implement, and/or troubleshoot analytical methods for analyzing drug metabolites.

• Conduct metabolic profiling and collect appropriate MS and MS/MS data for determination of metabolite structures and pathways using appropriate regulatory compliance.

• Use literature or other resources to perform research on specific scientific issues.

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to increase service quality and operational efficiency.

• Collaborate with senior staff to interpret MS/MS data and assign metabolite structures.

• Independently compile, analyze, and prepare data, write reports, and manage study flow.

• Ensure quality and timely delivery of project deliverables to clients.

What We Are Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.

• Experience with analytical method development and metabolic profiling.

• Proficiency in MS and MS/MS data analysis.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Other Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.

The Knowledge, Skills and Abilities needed for this role:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, close eye work requirement (computer, typing, reading small prints). Physical demands vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks. Occasional exposure to cold temperatures.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

• Proficiency in laboratory equipment and software.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $52,500.00 - $87,500.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
