Your role at Clorox:

As part of the new 3P Superiority Center of Expertise (COE), this R&D Technical Leader will deliver superior consumer experiences through product development.

In this role, you will:

  • Partner with the Clorox Innovation Accelerator team to develop technical solutions for adjacency opportunities.
  • Continue to build, evolve, and audit Product Development Technical Rigor Work Processes, Best Practices, and Standards. They will continually review and seek input from stakeholders to identify gaps, and work with fellow SMEs to build new solutions to meet the evolving needs of the BUs.
  • Lead the creation, maintenance, and delivery of Product Development training as part of the new R&D University training platform.
  • Play a strong role in the new ‘See It, Show It, Sell It’ Community of Practice (COP) as a senior SME.
  • Be dynamically-deployed as a Product Development Expert to high profile projects across the enterprise.

What we look for:

  • 10+ years CPG experience, with a primary focus in Product Development; experience in Process or Packaging is a plus.
  • Understands and values Technical Rigor.  Track record of leading projects with appropriate rigor.
  • Broad experience across relevant Product technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to break-down a product concept and identify technology options to deliver against the concept.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop/formulate new products internally.
  • Demonstrated ability to scout externally for technologies, assess, and bring them in-house.
  • Experience with the Modern Discovery tools/process.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and implement new tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence peers and senior leaders.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully mentor scientists and developing them to be future SMEs.

Workplace type:

Hybrid: This individual will work a hybrid scheduled, 3 days in the Pleasanton office / 2 days remotely.

Based on the breadth of our ranges, most new hires will start at Clorox in the first half of the applicable range. Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.

Zone A: $148,500 - $298,600

Zone B: $136,200 - $273,700

Zone C: $123,800 - $248,800

This job is also eligible for participation in Clorox’s incentive plans, subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents and policies.
