Position Description

To plan, organize, and manage one or more small sized projects with management oversight to meet defined requirements or business objectives.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Assists with creating project plans, defines scope, creates budget and timelines, identifies staffing needs and other resources, prioritizes tasks, creates roadmaps, and identifies and documents technical and business needs and associated risks.
  • Executes project plans by overseeing resource assignments, manages scope, gathers metrics, facilitates meetings with end users, and assists with defining technical solutions and directions.
  • Collaborates with multiple ISS Agile teams and business departments to ensure project requirements and expectations are met.
  • Facilitates project team meetings and provides status reports following PM standards.
  • Creates lessons learned, project evaluations, budget reconciliation’s, documentation retentions, and project closures.
  • Provides assistance to other project teams or Project Managers, or the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office as needed.
  • Enter project data in PPM and Agile tools and maintains accuracy to support tracking and measurement of project and team progress.

Perform other related assigned duties as necessary to complete the Primary Job Responsibilities as described above.

Minimum Requirements:

Position requires a bachelor's degree with relevant coursework in computer science or information systems and two years' related work experience in project management in an IT or IT support related position. Certification in Project Management (i.e., Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)) designation is preferred. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience.
Position requires basic knowledge of software development processes in n-tier or web environments; leadership skills; ability to analyze and resolve complex problems; use independent judgment and communicate effectively with internal and external contacts. Basic knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practice is helpful.
