The Opportunity  

This position works out of our Alameda, CA location in the Diabetes Care division where we are focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions. We’re revolutionizing the way people monitor their glucose levels with our new sensing technology. 

Our location in Alameda, CA currently has an opportunity for an Associate Product Manager to join the Global Product Management group,which is responsible for the strategy, design, and delivery of software-based products and services that expand and enhance the capabilities of the Abbott FreeStyle Libre platform, the world’s #1 continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) solution. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Digital Health Product Innovation. 

What You’ll Work On 

  • Develop product strategy and roadmap for mobile & web appsdata & analytics platforms, and/or cloud services  

  • Identify and prioritize unmet user needs, and translate them into product requirements 

  • Partner with product designers and UX researchers to define, design, test, and deliver new user experiences 

  • Serve on Agile product development teams and collaborate with software engineers to implement and test new features 

  • Train internal stakeholders on new products and features 

  • Collaborate with product marketing to produce promotional and/or educational content 

  • Provide on-market product support to global commercial operations 

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelors Degree required.  MBA preferred or at least three years previous engineering or design experience.

  • Captivating and compelling presentation, communication, and storytelling skills  

  • Self-starter and resourceful with a “can do” attitude 

  • Innovative and able to develop and deliver a vision for user experience and business strategy 

  • Passionate in learning about customers, product, and industry 

  • Strong analytical skills and able to draw conclusions from data, user and market insights, management information, and industry trends 

  • Able to organize and facilitate high-impact meetings and workshops 

  • Demonstrates product leadership and able to collaborate with cross-functional team 

  • Sound time management skills, delivering high quality results on tight deadlines 

  • Highly organized, focused and committed to achieving goals 

  • Thrives under pressure in prioritizing and managing multiple projects​

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience with design and development of healthcare digital products, for consumers, healthcare professionals, and/or within healthcare data management systems

  • Understanding of delivering digital products in a regulated environment  

  • Track record of success serving as a Product Owner in an Agile software development environment

The base pay for this position is

$95,500.00 – $190,900.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
