The Role
We’re looking for an Associate Product Manager who can take ownership of product releases, ensuring engineering deliverables are ready, complete, and properly documented before going live. You'll work closely with Engineering, QA, and Customer Success to maintain high standards of release hygiene—versioned documentation, test case traceability, and clear release communication.
Responsibilities
- Own the release process: Plan, coordinate, and execute all product releases (major and minor), including release notes, internal communication, and public documentation.
- Engineering liaison: Ensure engineers provide clear documentation, test cases, and version history for every feature or bug fix as part of the release workflow.
- Versioning management: Track public release versions, internal release candidates, and hotfixes. Maintain a consistent versioning system.
- Documentation oversight: Own customer-facing changelogs, feature flags, test coverage maps, and "what’s new" updates in collaboration with Product Marketing.
- QA collaboration: Ensure all releases meet the agreed quality standards with test case coverage documented and traceable.
- Internal enablement: Ensure Sales, Support, and Customer Success are updated on upcoming releases with the right materials and training.
- Compliance tracking: Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure releases meet regulatory documentation standards (especially in medical or GovCloud settings).
- Post-release distribution: Provide inputs to marketing / product for creation of content.
- Knowledge base & API documentation: Own the company knowledge base and API documentation for all platform releases.
Skills & Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of experience in a Product, QA, or Engineering coordination role
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Experience with release processes, version control, and test documentation
- Familiarity with tools like Jira, Git, and test management platforms (e.g., Testomat.io)
You’re a great fit if you:
- Love keeping things clean, consistent, and well-documented
- Get satisfaction from process improvement and cross-functional coordination
- Are comfortable nudging engineers for missing test cases or notes
- Can speak both "tech" and "business" fluently, translating one into the other

What We Do
Unifize is a Quality Management Software that helps life science and manufacturing companies bring compliant products to life faster.
Existing PLM/QMS software solutions are typically built for compliance and not speed. They focus on entirely data capture and control, leaving quality, product/engineering, ops, purchasing, and other teams to collaborate on email, phone calls, meetings, and via tools like Teams and Slack.
But when you separate where teams collaborate from where quality processes & documents are managed, these companies end up:
- Wasting time and making mistakes as things fall between the cracks
- Being unable to get real-time traceability on decisions and actions
- Struggling to drive accountability across teams inside/outside quality
Ultimately, the quality department just becomes a clerical, form-filling non-function that spends its whole time following up with other teams.
By bringing collaboration, processes, and documents into one place, Unifize streamlines how information flows through quality processes and builds engagement in quality across the whole organization.
Furthermore, our no-code platform allows quality teams to build and configure their organization's processes & workflows, or use our template library of pre-validated processes.
