SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
The Associate Penetration Tester is responsible for performing security-related services for Digital Defense clients. Within Offensive Security Operations, the Associate Penetration Tester’s primary role is to perform penetration tester-assisted services, such as remote social engineering, vulnerability assessments, and other services as directed. In addition, the Associate Penetration Tester may be called upon to update, develop and review client policies, assist with and perform penetration testing, and other tasks as assigned by their superiors.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Perform remote social engineering engagements for Digital Defense clients.
- Conduct research, analysis, and testing of computer/network vulnerabilities via vulnerability assessment, penetration testing and assessment, and other methods.
- Clearly outline and portray test findings via well-documented reports. Will deliver or participate in client briefings at onset and conclusion of services.
- Maintain a high level of proficiency in utilizing the Digital Defense Frontline Cloud portal and associated tools.
- Assist clients with questions regarding vulnerabilities and remediation efforts.
- Create, update, and follow process documentation to support the penetration testing team.
- With the assistance of senior team members, develop and follow a training plan to advance your skills as a penetration tester.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security (or a related IT specialty) preferred.
- Certifications: MUST have at least one industry-recognized security certification.
- Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in the security industry.
- Must have excellent customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work in a team environment.
- Must be a self-starter and manage multiple priorities with a minimum of direct supervision and guidance.
