OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a proactive, experienced, and results-driven Associate Manager – Transportation Services to join our team. This leadership role is critical to ensuring the smooth, efficient, and compliant operation of our transportation services across Jamaica and Colombia, with a strong focus on supporting night operations and addressing real-time challenges.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the transportation support team, monitoring transportation systems and vendor performance, addressing escalations from employees, and driving continuous improvement across transportation operations. This role requires a high level of ownership, sound judgment, and the ability to lead and coordinate across multiple geographies and stakeholders.
Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the night shift operations for transportation services in Jamaica and Colombia, ensuring uninterrupted service delivery.
- Supervise and support Transportation Specialists; serve as their primary escalation point.
- Monitor the transportation app and vendor performance dashboards to ensure system health and service quality.
- Respond to and resolve high-priority issues or employee escalations in real time.
- Liaise with transportation vendors to ensure adherence to service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Analyze operational data to identify trends, gaps, or opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with senior management to update and implement transportation policies and procedures.
- Own documentation of incidents, tracking metrics, and reporting for audit or leadership reviews.
- Participate in hiring, training, and development of the transportation team.
- Partner with other departments (HR, Facilities, Security) to align transportation services with broader organizational goals.
- Drive employee satisfaction by ensuring a safe, reliable, and user-friendly transportation experience.
- Be available to work flexible shifts, including weekends, holidays, or late evenings when necessary.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Operations, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in transportation, operations, or people management.
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience required.
- Must be bilingual (English and Spanish) to support both geographies effectively.
- Strong knowledge of transportation management systems and operational workflows.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- High level of ownership, accountability, and ability to work under pressure.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, or similar tools.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Adaptability and flexibility to work during night shifts or as required.
- Availability to work on weekends and public holidays.
- Willingness to operate outside of regular business hours.
Additional Information
Hours of work:
- (Sunday – Saturday. Starting shift - 4pm to 1am) for Jamaica
- (Tuesday – Sunday. Starting shift - 4pm to 1am) for Colombia
