Job Description
-
Ensure adherence to instructions/directions applicable for Bonded Non- EPZ companies by Statutory Regulatory Orders (SROs) issued by the Government from time to time.

Ensure of Inclusion of materials, Approval of Machinery Inclusion and approval of revised Annual Entitlement from Customs Bond commissionerate.

Ensure smooth and timely clearance of all Air/Sea shipment from DAC, CGP, ICD & Land ports.

Ensure to mandatorily obtain UP for consumption of raw materials from the Customs Bond Commissionerate office.

Manage, coordinate & supervise day-to-day activities, Ensure company profile update in BIDA, annual entitlement, Ship-back, Sub-contract, Local Purchase, Return replacement, Bond to Bond permission from Customs and other regulatory authority to meet business & day to day operational demand. of the Commercial department.

Open Import L/C for Raw materials, Capital Machine, Spare parts etc.

Develop Import & Export policy as per local regulatory rule, SRO followed by UCP and local Customs practice.

Managing Bank, Insurance, C&F agent, Freight forwarder, Shipping Lines, Port & Customs Operations.

Maintain effective communications relationships with Regulatory bodies, Custom-Bond, Banks, Freight Forwarder, Stakeholder, etc.

Maintain KPI for the C&F agents, Freight Forwarders and yearly process reviewer for new enlistment and registration.

Responsible for Yearly Customs Bond Audit, renewal of Customs General Bond.

Responsible for In-Bond, Ex-bond entry and update in the bond book and customs bond management.

Develop SOP for all execution and Implement a Continuous Improvement Plan for Import-Export Operations.

Plan AOP for In-Bound & Ex-bond C&F/Logistics cost to meet the planned volume for the year.
Other Responsibilities:
-
Coordination with Supply chain, Sales, Customer Service, GPD, Finance and Production team for Importing raw materials, Machinery, Spare Parts Customs Clearance and in-house goods in warehouse on time.

Liaise cross-functional teams i.e. Manufacturing, Procurement, EHS Maintain records as required by the global team: RSL guidelines.

Negotiate & implement a broad range of service agreement with Customs Broker & freight Forwarder.

Coordination with local government regulatory i.e BEPZA, BIDA, NBR, CCIE, BTRC, Bangladesh Bank, Department of Explosive and comply Import/Export operations as per government rules & regulations ensure trade compliance activities are on proper track.

Visit to Customs Bond Commissionerate office, Dhaka Customs, ICD, CTG Customs engagement with authority to expedite business issues and approval.

Manage, maintain timely reporting as per business requirements.
Qualifications
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills & Experience:

Extensive and Practical knowledge in Customs Act’ 1969, VAT Act 1991, EPZ Act’ 1984, UCP 500, UCP- 600, URC, BCT, Bond Management & Exchange Control Policy of Bangladesh Bank etc

The person should have a detailed understanding about the Import-Export, Sales & Manufacturing process, while having a thorough understanding about the strategies, activities, status and goals of the company.
He/She should have;

Must be Post Graduated in Business in a related discipline. Engineering Background (Mechanical / Civil/ Electrical) from a reputed University will be an added advantage.

8 – 10 years of working experience in managing the Import-Export / Supply Chain of the apparel accessories manufacturing industry.

Working experience in SCM, Import, Export, Logistics, function of any large reputed accessories manufacturing company.

Should have Managerial Experience in previous employment preferably in a multinational accessories manufacturing company.

Excellent speaking and writing skills in both English and Bangla.

Computer literacy with working knowledge of MS Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
