The Associate Manager is responsible for managing a team while designing, executing, and reporting on standard work processes to ensure transportation solutions are maintained for accuracy and efficiency. This Associate Manager is a working manager, approximately 30% production work and 70% management. The team is responsible for on-time delivery of customer freight while controlling costs and providing excellent customer communication. The ideal candidate can use statistical data to drive efficiency as well as use root cause analysis tools to improve business processes and exceed customer expectations.
Essential Functions And Tasks
- Supervise day-to-day activities of team members
- Schedule staff and distribute workload
- Ensure team members meet daily goals and monitor individual and team performance
- Develop and distribute customer and internal performance management reports
- Develop, implement and maintain effective processes
- Proactively generate and share ideas that lead to process efficiency and customer experience improvement
- Develop strong relationships across organization
- Develop team members by providing training opportunities, projects, mentoring, and coaching
- Create and maintain strong team culture in line with Uber Freight values and behaviors
- Drive organic growth within the customer portfolio by identifying and developing new opportunities
- Support the Sales team in landing new business opportunities and ensuring smooth operational onboarding
- Collaborate with the Strategic Account Management (SAM) team to reactivate dormant accounts and drive customer engagement
Basic Qualifications - Proficient English communication skills - written and verbal
- 3 years of logistics experience with increasing level of responsibility
- Minimum 2 years of experience leading teams
- Advanced proficiency in Excel

- Ability to anticipate and resolve problems using root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently and proceed with objectives without supervision.
- Excellent people skills, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience in the Freight Industry.

- Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI.
- Ability to effectively present information and insights to upper management.
