The Associate Manager, Marketing, JAPAC will work across multiple business lines and geographies in JAPAC to develop and manage Asia’s event business and ensure operational excellence across hosted and sponsored activations. Key markets include India, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam. 

In this role you will:  

  • Oversee and execute Asia event marketing strategy, planning, and execution in various markets for tentpole sponsored and hosted events, as approved by the Sr. Director of Marketing in Sydney 

  • Plan events for marketing and revenue generation activities including but not limited to: content & programming, branding, logistics, presentation development, panel & participant preparation, etc

  • Manage stakeholder relationships and communications to ensure alignment with strategy, execution, and expectations - both regionally and with the wider international team

  • Support complementary marketing activities to ensure maximum event success, including content, design elements, social media, and PR (working with centralised departments as needed for support and execution)

  • Ensure KPIs for tentpole events are met whilst creating tracking and reporting mechanisms to measure ROI and feedback

  • Update event team calendar and logistics, including expense management, contracts, and financial documentation

  • Promote new ideas and processes that streamline and move the regional business forward across our key corporate goals and objectives

  • Oversee and assist with other international marketing projects as needed (e.g. partnership & client co-marketing initiatives and strategic support for the team)

  • Manage team performance and growth in conjunction with the Sr. Director by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures

  • Travel as needed for tentpoles events

We’re looking for someone with: 

  • BA/BS, preferably in marketing, communications, journalism, international business or a marketing-related discipline

  • 6+ years of experience in marketing; with experience in events, media and/or advertising 

  • Ability to work independently to deliver results whilst being an excellent communicator and collaborator with mid to senior stakeholders across geographies and time zones 

  • Creative thinking skills, a passion for events and an ability to use data to inform all decisions

  • Superb cross-functional, project management and organisational skills 

  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple interests with tact and diplomacy

  • Preference to have recent experience in an event marketing position at a media brand, agency and/or ad tech company with responsibility for:

    • Branding and positioning

    • On and offline marketing and advertising

    • Content marketing

    • Analytics and KPI tracking

  • Results-driven and able to confidently adjust to changing dynamics of the industry

  • English proficiency, written and verbal
